Battery of my iPod touch 6g

Mine is the same way. I have to charge it every night.

You can look into things like background app update and background app refresh. they can be little battery drainers without you realizing it.

Beyond that, it's a tiny battery that doesn't last all day.

I realize that the iPod doesn't last all day but shouldn't it go into sleep mode with the on/off/sleep button? My iPod started to drain the battery recently as if it is not going into sleep mode at all. The battery get totally drained after about eight hours of near no use. Got any idea how to force it into sleep mode?

Mine seems to sleep. I tap the power button and the screen goes off.

Have you poked around in the settings. Maybe there are background processes running. Such as background app update and background app refresh. Also having your mail set on push instead of fetch can drain the battery since its checking for new mail at regular intervals.

What do you think sleep mode is?

The device is "sleeping" if you did not "Slide to Power Off" and the screen is blank except if yo are playing audio with the screen blank.

When "sleeping" the device is still doing things according the Setting you have set. Those include downloading Mail messages, updating apps
